About the event
Kay started in the dental field soon after she graduated from high school. She became a Registered Dental Assistant and as her love for dentistry grew, she decided to pursue a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She completed her Masters of Science degree in Allied Health from East Tennessee State University.
After years in private practice, Kay transitioned to the teaching field in 2019. Since then, she has been on faculty at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in the department of Periodontology.
Kay spends her time outside of Dentistry with her husband of 33 years and their 3 children. She loves to hang out with her family, fur babies, and travel.
